When a dream and love come together with passion and drive anything is possible. That is what happened here at Sun and Star Farm. A love for country fresh air and animals came together and formed a little farm. Here at Sun and Star Farm we believe in quality not quantity. We aren't a large farm, but we put a large part of ourselves into it, carefully choosing good quality donkeys and shar-pei to produce top notch show animals. Conformation, health, and temperament are the first concerns here. Color is the last thing that we would breed for, we want healthy animals that can have a productive, happy life.
The miniature donkeys that we breed for have correct conformation and should also do well in the performance ring. Well balanced, even bite, straight legs and top lines with power to pull a cart and look graceful doing it. We aim for babies that will reach 32 to 34 inches at the wither, Even with careful breeding sometimes a donkey doesn't meet our guidelines to be a show or breeding animal, but they need as much love as the show donkeys. We sell these bundles of joy as pets so they maybe loved and cherished. Miniature donkeys weather it be pet or show work well with children and the elderly. Sweet personality and big hearts in little fuzzy bodies begging for love. How could you not love something with those big o' ears. Our Shar-pei are bred with the same philosophy as our donkey's. Health, conformation, temperament and last is color. Well balanced, scissor bite, strong correct bone structure, and good health. A dog that will do well in the show ring be it conformation or any of the performance classes. Healthy, happy shar-pei that also do well in a family setting. We socialize our shar-pei so that they will be good companions for families and with other animals. We try to get them around as much new stuff as possible in a positive safe manner to build confidence. If you have any questions please contact us.
